The Maddalena Archipelago

Alghero
Located on the north-west coast, Alghero still shows traces of its Catalan past.
The town boasts a charming Gothic-style historic centre that includes the Cathedral of Santa Maria, Palazzo Guillot and the 14th-century Church of San Francesco, the Coral Museum and a long natural inlet overlooking the emerald sea.
The caves of Neptune are the most important in Sardinia: they are located in Alghero, extend for about 6 km and have been excavated over millions of years by fresh water. They can be reached by ferry or via a staircase of about 600 steps, which offers spectacular views of the sea and coastline.

Absolutely considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia, Pelosa beach is distinguished by the transparency of its waters and the whiteness of its beach, which make it resemble tropical seas.
