The environment is important to us. That’s why we participate in Stay for the Planet, a program based on a standard recognized by the GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council), the organization that sets and guides standards for sustainable development in the global travel and tourism sector.
The program is based on a sustainability rating developed by LifeGate’s scientific committee, which uses a scale of 1 to 5—represented by leaves—to reflect the environmental and social performance of hotels in the following impact areas: Energy, Water, Waste, Procurement, Behavior, and People
Through constant monitoring of our consumption, we aim to conserve resources; we strictly enforce recycling, and we ask you to help by using the designated bins located in common areas; we raise our guests’ awareness about food waste and offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options.
The Blumarea Hotel is thrilled to announce that it has earned Green Key certification, a prestigious award granted by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which attests to our commitment to more sustainable hospitality.
Achieving Green Key certification is the result of a process of continuous improvement, aimed at meeting rigorous standards in environmental management, energy efficiency, waste management, responsible water use, nature conservation, and the promotion of sustainable practices.
